Time and Motion Studies

Time and motion studies began in the early twentieth century as a way to improve operation of production lines. This type of worker efficiency study is known as a classic time and motion study.

The modern discipline of time and motion, however, incorporates innovations made during the middle and late twentieth century allowing the practice of time and motion to analyse modern dynamic business environments, including today's variable task manufacturing, office work environments, papertrail processes, service industries, and complex system workflows.

Modern time and motion studies can address any type of business and any type of business activity and can represent action within those activity realms allowing for simpler analysis and improvement to business practice.

Time & Motion Pty. Limited uses a modern ergonomic time and motion methodology to conduct time and motion studies.
